Patient with fussy newborns
Calm, relaxing home sessions
Punctual and professional headshots
Quick turnaround on proofs

If you've ever tried to photograph a newborn, you know it's a bit like herding a very tiny, very vocal cat. I haven't, but I imagine the patience required is similar, and Steven Cotton has it in spades. His home sessions feel less like a photo shoot and more like a calm afternoon with a friend who happens to have a camera. He was punctual for my headshot session, which I appreciated because I was already nervous about my resting grumpy face. The proofs came back so quickly I barely had time to overthink my outfit choices. It's a genuinely relaxing experience, and you'll leave feeling like you actually know how to smile on command. I still don't, but the photos suggest otherwise.

Stunning Indian wedding coverage
Highly recommended, repeat clients

You know that feeling when you're at a wedding and the photographer is just... there, but not really there? That's not Kb Brar. This person brings a RED camera and an energy that makes you forget you're being documented. I wasn't a client, but I watched a friend's Indian wedding unfold through Kb's lens, and the storytelling was cinematic in a way I didn't think was possible from a candid photographer. The prewedding concepts were wildly creative, and somehow he managed to wrangle a dance floor full of adrenaline-fueled relatives into natural, joyful frames without ever breaking a sweat. He's clearly experienced, and it shows in how he handles chaos. Repeat clients make sense. I'm already planning a fake anniversary just to have an excuse to book him again.

Easy self-guided photo sessions
High-quality prints included
Generous with digital photos
Fun props and accessories
Kind, helpful staff guidance

I am the kind of person who takes approximately forty minutes to set up a tripod and then gives up and takes blurry selfies. BYME Studio is the antidote to that particular brand of incompetence. You walk in, they hand you a remote, and suddenly you're in a self-guided photo session that feels like playing dress-up with really good lighting. The props are fun, the staff is kind, and they don't hover, which I appreciate because I make weird faces when I'm concentrating. What sold me was the prints. They're high quality, and they're included, which felt like a miracle in this economy. They're also generous with the digital files, so you can post all fifty outtakes to your story without shame. I left feeling like a photo model, which is saying a lot for someone who usually photographs like a startled deer.

Highly recommended for genuine moments

Elena Dorofeeva has this uncanny ability to make you feel like the most confident version of yourself, which is no small feat when you're standing in front of a camera and your brain is screaming about your posture. Her photos are warm, natural, and vibrant in a way that doesn't look overprocessed or fake. She captures light and atmosphere beautifully, and you can tell she's genuinely paying attention to the mood of the moment rather than just clicking away. During the session, she kept things relaxed and easy, cracking jokes that actually landed and guiding me into poses that didn't feel like I was pretending to be a tree. I left feeling like I'd just had coffee with a friend, and the photos that came back were full of genuine moments I actually want to hang on my wall. Highly recommended, if you couldn't tell.

Highlights
Extremely delayed photo delivery
Poor editing and retouching
Rushed, disengaged photo sessions
Uncomfortable, inappropriate comments
Inflexible with scheduling changes

I want to be fair here, but I also want to save you from my mistake. Photouncle sounded perfect on paper, but the reality was a series of delays and disappointments. The photo delivery took so long that I genuinely forgot I'd had a session, and when the images finally arrived, the editing looked like I'd done it myself in a dimly lit bathroom. The session itself felt rushed, like the photographer was already mentally at their next appointment, and a couple of comments made me deeply uncomfortable. Scheduling changes were met with a firmness that felt less like professionalism and more like inflexibility. I'm not one to leave harsh reviews, but I'd rather you spend your money somewhere that respects your time and your comfort. This wasn't that place for me, and I hope you find better.

Warm and patient with kids
Stunning newborn and family photos
Beautiful studio with endless props
Thoughtful comforts for parents
Genuine, emotional photo captures

There's a special kind of magic that happens when a photographer is genuinely good with kids, and Kerry Goddard has it in abundance. My niece was having a full meltdown about a missing sock, and Kerry just rolled with it, patient and warm, coaxing out these tiny smiles that I didn't think were coming. The newborn photos from a friend's session are stunning, and the studio itself is a beautiful space filled with endless props that somehow don't feel cluttered or overwhelming. What I loved most were the thoughtful comforts for parents, little touches like a comfortable chair and a quiet corner that made a chaotic experience feel manageable. The final photos captured genuine, emotional moments that made my sister cry, which is the highest compliment I can give. It's not just a photo session; it's a memory you'll want to keep forever.

Seamless corporate headshot sessions
Personalized guidance for natural poses

Thoughtful pre-shoot location scouting

Corporate headshots are usually about as exciting as watching paint dry, but Pacifica Studio somehow made mine feel almost fun. They scouted the location beforehand, which meant we weren't wandering around looking for decent light, and they gave personalized guidance that didn't make me feel like a mannequin being posed. The photographer had a knack for saying things like "imagine you're laughing at a bad joke" that actually loosened me up. I was nervous about looking stiff, but they made it easy to relax, and the next day my proofs were already in my inbox, which felt like a miracle. I've had headshots that look like mugshots, but these actually made me feel confident, like I could walk into a boardroom and pretend I know what I'm doing. I left feeling like a professional, which is the whole point, right?

Breathtaking storytelling through photos

Lynn Lewis is one of those photographers who makes you forget you're being photographed, which is the highest compliment I can give. She captures light and natural beauty in a way that feels effortless, even though I know it's not. During our session, she was calming and supportive, and she had this quiet way of guiding me that made me feel like I was just hanging out with a friend who happened to have a camera. The turnaround was impressively fast, even though she was traveling, which I appreciated because I'm impatient and wanted to see the images immediately. She also works seamlessly with officiant Keith, and together they created a story of our day that felt breathtaking and authentic. I've looked at those photos a hundred times, and they still make me smile. That's the mark of someone who truly sees you.

Beautiful garden photo setting
Patient with large family groups
Skilled at posing children
Clear package explanations
Fair pricing, beautiful results

Mỹ Photo Studio surprised me in the best way. The garden setting is absolutely beautiful, and it's the kind of place where you don't have to overthink your background because everything just works. I was there with a large family group, which usually means chaos and someone crying, but the photographer was so patient and organized that we actually got through it without anyone melting down. They were particularly skilled at posing the kids, which is a superpower I do not possess. The package explanations were clear and upfront, no hidden fees or confusing jargon, which I appreciated. The pricing felt fair, especially given the beautiful results we got. If you're looking for a stress-free session with a beautiful backdrop and a photographer who knows how to wrangle a crowd, this is your spot. I left with photos that made my mom cry, and that's a win.

Comfortable, fun photo sessions

Amazing results every time
Easygoing, welcoming photographer
Clients rebook without hesitation

I've had headshots that made me look like I was being held hostage, and I've had headshots that made me look like I was trying too hard. HeadShots Inc is neither of those. The session felt comfortable and genuinely fun, which is not something I expected to say about a photo shoot. The photographer picked beautiful locations and played good music, and somehow that combination made me forget I was posing. The results were amazing every time, and I'm not just saying that because I'm easily pleased. The photographer is easygoing and welcoming, and they have this way of making you feel like you're the only person in the room, even when you're clearly not. I rebooked without hesitation, which is rare for me because I hate getting my picture taken. But this experience changed my mind, and now I'm actually looking forward to the next one.

They seamlessly blend multiple photography styles, which is impressive because I usually feel like I have to choose between casual and formal, but here I got both. The full-service studio experience felt luxurious without being pretentious, and they captured natural newborn moments that were so pure they made me emotional.
